Computer repair in Pemberton, NJ

Laptops and desktops, hardware and software. We collect the machine, find out what is actually wrong, tell you what it will cost, and bring it back working. If the repair does not work, you do not pay for it.
What we work on

Windows laptops and desktops, and the software on them.

If your problem is not on this list, it is still worth asking. Most of what we see is a variation on one of these.
✓ It will not start, or starts then freezes
✓ Slow enough to be genuinely annoying
✓ Screen, keyboard, battery or charging port
✓ Windows will not update or will not log in
✓ Making a noise it did not used to make
✓ Something got spilled on it
The usual culprits

What "it's slow" usually turns out to be.

These four have very different price tags, which is why we check which one it is before quoting rather than after.
01

A failing hard drive

Older machines with spinning drives get slower as the drive starts to struggle. Swapping it for an SSD is usually the single biggest improvement you can make to an older computer, and it often buys several more years.
02

Not enough memory

A machine that was fine five years ago can run out of room with a modern browser and a dozen tabs open. Adding memory is straightforward on most desktops and many laptops.
03

Too much loading at startup

Software that installed itself and now runs every time you switch the computer on. This one usually needs no parts at all.
04

Overheating

Dust builds up in the fans, the machine gets hot, and it deliberately slows itself down to cope. Cleaning it out fixes it.
How it works

We collect it, quote it, and bring it back working.

Some jobs are better done where the machine lives, and some can be sorted remotely without anyone traveling at all. We will tell you which before we start.
01

We collect it

You do not have to carry anything anywhere or wait around while we work.
02

We diagnose and quote

We find out what is actually wrong and tell you the cost before doing any chargeable work.
03

We return it working

Set up and running, so you can go straight back to using it.
What it costs

One flat fee both ways, and a guarantee.

Nothing is done and nothing is charged until you have seen the price and agreed to it.

Pickup & delivery is a flat $19.99. That covers collecting the machine and bringing it back when the work is done, the same anywhere in our service area. It is held on a card beforehand rather than charged, and you pay it along with the service when we hand the machine back — by card or cash. If no work goes ahead, the $19.99 is all you pay.

Or drop it off and collect it yourself — then there is no fee, and no card hold either. We will arrange the spot when we schedule.

Computer repair starts at $49.99 for a system tune-up. Anything beyond that is quoted before we start.

Parts, licenses, and third-party services are priced separately when applicable.

No fix, no fee.

If the repair does not work, you do not pay for it. A diagnosis you decide not to act on is not a failed repair — it is a completed answer.
Straight answers

When we will tell you not to repair it.

Sometimes the honest answer is that a repair does not make sense. The parts cost more than the machine is worth, or the fault is on the motherboard of a laptop old enough that the part is hard to get. When that is the case we will say so plainly, and tell you what we would do instead.

A diagnosis that ends in “do not spend money on this one” is still a useful answer, and we would rather give it than take the work.
