Privacy Policy
This policy covers the Pemberton Tech website. It explains what information the site collects, how it is stored, and how long it is kept.
What the site collects
The site collects information in two places, and only when you choose to use them.
The Request Help form. When you submit it, we receive:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number, if you choose to give one
- Your city or community, if you give one
- The type of help you selected
- The description of the problem you wrote
- How soon you need help
- Whether you agreed to receive text messages
Securing an appointment. If you secure an appointment, you are taken to a page operated by Stripe, our payment processor, where you enter your name, your email address and your card details. This is described in the next section.
Reading the site. There is no account to create, and we do not collect anything that identifies you. Visits are counted anonymously — see Cookies and tracking below.
Payment details and card holds
When you secure an appointment, your card details are entered on a page operated by Stripe, which processes payments on our behalf. We never see, receive or store your card number. Your card details are never sent to this website and never pass through our web hosting.
Stripe holds the card and gives us a record showing your name, your email address, and the last four digits of the card. We use that record only to place authorization holds and to take payment for work you have asked us to carry out, as set out in our Terms of Service.
Stripe is a payment processor with its own privacy policy, which governs the card details you give it.
Cookies and tracking
We set no cookies — not for analytics, not for advertising, not for tracking — and we do not follow you across other websites.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It records the page you viewed, the site you arrived from, your approximate country and the kind of device you used. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not follow you to other websites. We cannot tell who you are from it. These counts are held by Cloudflare, which has its own privacy policy.
When you secure an appointment, moving you to Stripe is an ordinary redirect — there is no Stripe code running on this site, and nothing is sent to Stripe until you choose to go there.
Apart from the analytics described above, a page makes no requests to any other company. Fonts and images are served from our own server.
There is no cookie banner, because there are no cookies to ask you about.
Why we collect it
To read your request and reply to it, and to take payment for work you have asked us to carry out. We do not send marketing email, and we do not sell, rent, trade or share your information with anyone for their own use.
Where it is stored
Each form submission is stored in two places: in this website’s database, held by our web hosting provider, and in a notification email sent to our own inbox, which is hosted by Google Workspace.
Payment records, including any saved card, are held by Stripe.
These companies process the information only in order to provide hosting, email and payment processing. They do not use it for anything else.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions for up to 12 months, then delete them from both the website database and our email.
We do not set a fixed period for a saved card. It stays with Stripe until you ask us to remove it, or until we no longer need it for work you have asked for.
Asking us to delete your information
You can ask us to delete your submission, or to remove a saved card, at any time and for any reason, by emailing [email protected]. You do not need to give a reason, and we will confirm once it is done.
Data Sharing
- Customer data is not shared with 3rd parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
- Mobile opt-in and consent are never shared with anyone for any purpose. Any information sharing that may be mentioned elsewhere in this policy excludes mobile opt-in data.
Messaging Program Terms and Conditions
- The messaging program consists of general customer care messaging to answer questions and provide support to customers. Messages will be sent from (833) 247-8324.
- You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text ‘STOP’ to the phone number from which you received messages. After you send the SMS message ‘STOP’ to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
- If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or you can get help directly at [email protected].
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency will vary based on communication needs. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
- If you have any questions regarding privacy, please read our privacy policy details contained in the rest of this page or contact us at [email protected]
